It’s Our Turn in 2008!

This year, we will work with our friends – both new and old – in the 110th Congress. Together we will fight:

• For legislation to increase federal employee pay, lower federal employee health insurance premiums, and improve federal employee retirement benefits – and against any new attempts by the administration to slash federal employee pay and benefits.


• For legislation and regulations to give federal employees a fair chance against contractors during contracting out competitions – and against any new attempts by the administration to unfairly privatize hundreds of thousands of federal employee jobs.


• For restoring the civil service protections and collective bargaining rights of those federal employees who work in the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security – and against any new attempts by the administration to dismantle the civil service system.

The time for change is now. We must commit ourselves to working with the 110th Congress – while holding our lawmakers accountable - to ensure that federal employees receive the dignity, respect, wages and benefits they deserve for the outstanding job they do in service to America.
