You Can Make A Difference!

These are critical times for federal employees and the public we serve. The Administration's privatization agenda puts critical public services at risk as well as the economic health of local communities and the jobs of federal employees. Our national defense and homeland security are at risk because of the assault on collective bargaining rights and civil service protections of employees who work at the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. The morale of the greatest civil service in the world is at risk because of the paltry pay raise for federal employees proposed by the Administration.

You, however, can make a critical difference in the outcome of these debates. Grassroots action by AFGE members already is pressuring Congress to fight the Administration's privatization agenda and the assault on the rights of federal employees. Grassroots action is building support for a $4.1% pay for federal employees in the House and Senate.
